The Dapple Twins
PERSONALLY VISITED WITH LUNA & DOTTIE

Dog-friendly places to eat in Windsor

A Windsor adventure calls for a lunch stop where short legs are welcome too. These are two restaurants we’ve visited with our humans, each with a Silver Bowl and its own review.

Our humans write the reviews; we supply the dachshund perspective. Choose a place below to read our full story without leaving this page.

Megan’s by the Crown

Our humans particularly enjoyed the mozzarella hot honey sticks and shakshouka. We have stayed at tables near the main entrance; the restaurant has different levels, so ask about the table arrangement if steps matter for your dog.

Honest Burgers

A town-centre stop near the castle, with burgers and fries for the humans and a friendly indoor welcome for us. Our visit was calm and comfortable, although the atmosphere can be different another day.

A meal stop, not castle admission

The girls’ Windsor outing included the town and a stop by the castle. This guide does not promise dog admission to the castle or provide a surveyed walking route. Both restaurant reviews list nearby parking.

We’ve visited several times, having first discovered Megan’s in Marlow. Our humans arrived in Windsor with familiar favourites in mind. Apparently mozzarella hot honey sticks and shakshuka require regular quality checks. We’re happy to supervise.

Dogs were welcome throughout indoors, with friendly staff, water offered and dog beds available when space permits. A thoughtful arrangement for those of us who appreciate somewhere comfortable to wait while the humans eat.

The restaurant feels cosy, with a lively but comfortable atmosphere and enough room for us to settle. There are different levels, so your table may involve going up or down steps. We’ve always sat near the main entrance; mention any access needs when booking. There’s an outside seating area too.

Our humans found the food exceptional, the service good and the prices fair for the experience. Their favourite dishes remained firmly on the ordering list, while we continued our research into whether looking hopeful improves the likelihood of sharing.

Silver Bowl: lovely food for the humans and a cosy welcome for their canine company.

We’ve visited several times with our humans, who seem firmly convinced that burgers and fries make an excellent addition to a Windsor outing. We remain available to assist with their research.

Dogs were welcome throughout indoors, with friendly staff and water offered. There was enough room for us to settle, and the atmosphere felt calm and relaxed—a comfortable pause between adventures.

Right in the town centre beside the castle, the setting comes with lovely views. Our humans admired the scenery; we kept a close eye on the approaching food. Everyone had their priorities.

The burgers and fries earned plenty of praise from our humans. They found the food very good, service good and prices fair for the experience. There wasn’t outside seating available during our visits, but we were welcome to join them indoors.

Silver Bowl: lovely burgers for the humans and a friendly stop for paws while exploring Windsor.
